Various People's Actions

To resist and expose the crime and the state terror of socalled democratic, fascist repression which resulted the public life in full trouble (disorder) the CPN (Maoist) western regional bureau called a regionwide general strike and a campaigne of public action together with the masses against the particular and identified criminal, murderer and enemy of the people. The programme was announced for the time of 16^th to 23^rd of January and 24^th is the day of public mandade against the state crime. Before this since January 1^st 2000 they successfully completed the mass mobilisation for social cultural and other various mass welfare campaigne. Some of actions are :

20^th of Jan.- In Kathmandu Valley, the CPN (Maoist) Valley zonal bureau taken responsibility of bomb explosions which were happen in Nepal Oil Corporation Central office- kathmandu, NEA branch office Lagankhel- Lalitpur, NEA branch office Dudhpati- Bhaktapur. The emergence of action is to support the western regional shutdown programme, to oppose the price hiked of electricity and petroleum and for warning.

21^st of Jan.- Kalikot/ 5 Policemen injured who were going to supress the people at Rupsa VDC ward no. 5 at about 9.00 am. among them one is serious was refered to central police hospital and others are admitted in to Nepalgung regional hospital.

22^nd of Jan,- Jajarkot/ Six police commandos are killed in ambush at the district headquarter-ward no. 8 of Khalanga Jajarkot at about 8.50 am. Among the dead policemen a police surgeant, 5 constables and injured are two assis. Sub inspector and three constables. In this action the Guerrillas got atleast 9 rifles- 303, a twelvebor gun, a revolver, a walkitalki.

Others actions  there are dozens of murderer, Bad elements and spies punished in Sindhupalchok, Gorkha, Bardia, Rolpa, kavre,Bardia, and other several places of the ewstern region and etc. Districts. From where they seazed weapones, loan agreement papers and some weapones and money.

Main demands of the shutdown programme:

·To resist the state terror.

·To make publicise more than hundreds of abducted leaders and supporters included central committee member com. Dinesh sharma who is former president of federation of trade unions.

·To demand to respect the Geneva convention and related other commitments regarding civil war.

·To demand to treat with prisioners as per Geneva convention on political prisioners.

·To protest the unlimited price hiking by the decision of Government.

·Other issues related to the nationality, democracy and public life.

                                *  To oppose the privatization in which public enterprises and properties .                                    handover to the comprader to exploit the people.
