Chaitra 24 (April-6) Armed Nepal shutdown

Kathmandu/march 20: the General Secretary of CPN (Maoist) com. Prachanda announced nationwide” armed shut down” programme by issued a press statement. This announcement and the appointment of new primeminister of Fascist group of Nepali Congress Party have in a same day. Before this the possibilities of dialogue between government and maoist was seen. Maoist leader Com. Prachand had demanded to create a favourable environment for dialogue according to International norms. He demanded to publicise the situation of disappeared leader, workers and sympathisers, to release the all arrested persions, and to investigate the Khara killings and fire setting the peoples houses independently and punish the responsible authorities. But instead of creat the environment government killed several people after the arrest and formed a commission under the same police commander who was responsible for this Khara case. Then the rulling party president Girija called the nationwide active protest against the maoist, even it is completely failed. Only the few goons and police (secret) agents participants joints in some sities. Then he (Girija lobby) removed his own only one living founding Party member Krishna prasad Bhattarai from Primeminister and he himself replaced. According to the former Primminister and his own leader he was corrupted and institutionalised the corruption during his three times Primministerial period in the past. And he was the barrier to execute the anticorruption campaign-Bhattarai pointed him.

Now same corrupted and fascist criminal Girija is replacing on the primminister again. According to Prachand this is the scientific proof of the developing problems of the reactionary statepower. `When their own group appears a bit of liberal then the Indian expansionism and the fascist split of domestic reactionary applies the trique against their own friends` this shows they don’t let their friends also.

Prachand mentioned the developement of the peoples power is emergence and nobody stop this process. So, he appeal to resist the state terror and mass-killings, rapes, loots and repression through the struggle. To make success the Nepal armed shotdown programme the party announced:

# March 20-28 : propagation of the programme,

# march 29-4 April: mass mobilization and special resistance actions,

# 5^th April: nationwide armed rally and sebotages,

# shotdown: transportation, market, educational institutions and industries etc.

The Chaitra 24 is the extremely higher expression day of Nepalese peoples participation and sacrifices for the freedom and equality in 1990‘s Peoples movement. The protest was called by a joint front of a revolutionary communists. Those revolutionaries united in Maoists later. After the two days corfue the Nepali congress and revisionists negotiated with Royal palace and were tried to limit the achievements but the masses hutting them and continued protest and a week later the palace was compelled to desolve the partyless aristocratic Panchayati system. This armed shut-down is to respect the sacrifices of those brave sons and daughters of Nepalese people. And to preserv the achievements of 1990s movement and to warn reactionary state not to crush these rights.
