Some Cases of Rape by the State Forces

*After the murder of six Khatri brothers in Pipal village of Rukum, the police team lead by Kanaiya singh Sardar gangraped shocked mothers and sister in laws of those killed brothers on February 27, 1996.

*Police went to arrested a person in Sindhuli in 1996, when they didn’t find him they raped publicly his mother, wife and sister at a same place. 

*the whole village of Harjung in Rolpa district was arrested and locked in a local school on 17^th of February,1998. The police commandos gang raped 12 years Jasa Pun, Uma B.K., Buddhimala B.K., Kharali B.K. in front of their family and whole villagers.

*in 1997 police captured Kamsari Roka, Kamala Roka, Janpura Roka, Rammaya Gharti and raped them at Uwa VDC-4, Rolpa.

*In 1997, the police raped the wife of Rume Pun in Uwa-3.

·The wife of Chandre Kunwar was raped in Libang-8, the district headquarter of Rolpa.

·Mana Pun, residence of Jankot-1, was raped by the police in 1998.

·Debisara Pun, Sita Roka, Mani Budha, Mina Budha and Mati Roka were raped in Jelbang of Rolpa by the so-called security police in 1998.

·On 20^th of October 1997, the commando police raped lady teacher Kamala Bhatta, then contemporary Gorkha district secretary of All Nepal Women Association (Revolutionary) and threw her after killed in a semi-naked condition in the bank of Daraudi River. She was on the way home from organisational work at Jaubari of Gorkha.

·Police raped Gaini Budhathoki and Himsara Roka in Gumchal Rolpa.

·Nimsara Roka, Shova Budhathoki, Khomali Budhathoki, Kirali Budhathoki were raped in Rolpa.

·Devi Khadka, contemporary president of All Nepal Women Association, Dolakha was arrested from Chetrapa of Dolaka on 27^th of October 1998. She was gang raped after transferred in Dhulikhel, brought her in jungle on 5^th of November. She was sexually maltreated very badly by the DSP Madhav Thapa also in his quarter. 

·In 1998, a group of police came from Dhakadam under the command of an Inspector, raped a 13 year old girl, 4^th class student, in a wildly manner and left her like in dead condition.

·On 7^th of January, 2000, 15 year old Madrika Pariyar, student of class 6, residence of Muru VDC-1 of Rukum was gang raped whole night in front of her family by a group of 22 policemen in command of an Inspector who came from Simritu. And left her as dead condition.

·At the time of the mass massacre and aggression in “Khara” of Rukum (see the Khara report) 4 policemen caught Nirmala Pun who was collecting grass near her house and raped one by one, while rape her three of them caught her, and left with full of blood and wounded on her whole body. Same day, the police brought by helicopter under command of DIGP, gang raped 16 women including a lady teacher, an oppressed caste woman, three unmarried girls and a wife of a teacher publicly. The Khara event is the extreme degree of the state violence directed directly from the top which was made by the state on 22^nd of February 2000.

·June 8^th, 1999, a team of police came to the house of Ram Bahadur Gole, Gairimudi VDC-1, Dolakha in the name of house searching and gang raped Himali Tamang, a daughter of Ram Bahadur in bararic and wild manner.

·In September 1999, the extreme climax of barbaric repression and injustice against the women played in Ota VDC of Rolpa. The so-called 'protector' police gang raped 14 women on one day. At first, around 150 violence-control police entered the village and looked for the house where the women were. In the houses the old and children were, they broke and destroyed houses and properties thereof, but where women and girls found, they showed guns to the men and started gang rape the women. The silence of the village broke by the sound of crying and painful voices by the cause of horrible, bloody and inhuman rape done by police. For example: some representative scene are like-

·Five policemen caught a 12 years girl forcedly while she was walking on the street, she requested to save her with crying, still requesting, but the heartless, bloody and madpolice raped her one by one unless she was dead what police thought.

·A woman who has a new baby before 20 days was caught by democratic police and started to rape her, when the old mother of women protested with requesting to leave her fresh delivered daughter, the police hit her by the bot of gun where became faint and the police gang raped a women blowing her crying in draconian laughing and democratic enjoyment. Everybody knows the police is hired and trained by the western so-called development aid and loan.

·"Just recently we are married, please leave us, please don'tdo this dirty act" a newly married couple requested with full of tear on their eyes when police treated with a new bride for rape. But the police trained with the feudal and imperialist culture and education tied the hands and foots of the husband and gang raped the women. What alternative left for them to live peacefully ?

·In April, 2000, murderer sexist police forced a 11 years girl to oral sex by the police including a sergeant in Jajarkot and let her after she phainted.

·Police and goons arrested Lali Roka, a volunteer social worker and contemporary vice president of All Nepal Women Association (Revolutionary), Rolpa while she was feeding Polio drop to the children as a national campaign organised by WHO and HMG in Thawang of Rolpa. She was gang raped for three nights and killed her by firstly broke her eyes and later burnt her alive in fire. Later the leader of a NGO working with western NGOs was received a medal because of collaborating with police to kill and rape the women. It is mentionable that the leader of NGO also women.

·Ganga K.C. the residence of Pakhapani of Rolpa arrested on 13^th of September when she was at her parents house to celebrate Teej festival (it is a traditional Nepali festival when the daughters and sisters invite to the house of parents and brothers to celebrate). Police murdered her after rape and through her dead body in completely naked condition.

·May 1^st, 1999, a gang of police from Adamghat police post hijacked a young girl in Chhapra VDC of Kalikot, they raped her by bringing in a room of local primary school and left in unconscious condition.

·There are more 24 women are been pregnant by the rape of police during the mass massacre campaign named search operation.

·Garmi Pun the residence of Mahat, Rukum have gave birth of a child now, by the rape of police at the beginning of 1999.

·A 18 years girl, student of student of Sablakot secondary school of Jajarkot was arrested by the police patrol gang from Shivakhola police post on 11^th of June 1998. She brought to local jungle where she was raped and shot dead. The villagers said the police made disappeared her dead body also.

·During the Killo seara-2 operation ( a special commando and police operation named “search and kill operation-2”) the police patrol team gang raped a oppressed caste woman in Shova VDC, Rukumkot on 2^nd of June 1998 and left her in unconscious condition at the afternoon. On the same day, theythey went Peugha VDC where they surrounded the village and arrested 4 women, suffered through gang rape.

·Laxmi Pun residence of Korchabang #3, Rolpa was returning from the visit of her relatives at the occasion of Teej festival through the way to Darbot of Kot VDC, was followed by the police patrol and gangraped in cornfield and left unconcious condition.

·Dipjyoti Thapa and her mother Bagmati Thapa residence of Gajul VDC arrested frrom their house on November 11, 1999 and brought them to Gajul police post tied with chain. With several other different inhuman tortures, Dipjyoti was raped by Inspector Rajendra Adhikari and mother Bagmati Thapa was raped by Sub-Inspector Ramsingh Thapa for several nighhts at the police station. The weekly Janadesh have published her interview also. 

·On May 9/98, after arrested the Dil kumari Thapa and Ganesh Neupane, tied the hands in backside and killed with horrible torture to Ganesh Neupane. Dil Kumari was murdered after gangraped with unlimited tortures. According to the eye witnesses police cut off her both breastsand threw away. The murder is known as Lekhpharsa murder of Surkhet district.they were the party and squad members but caught in freehand. 

·The police from Simrutu police post arrested 14 years Sirjana Pun, a 8^th class student in Muru village and 18 years Sita Pun from Murukhola village where they went to participant in a marriage programme of their relative arround 26/27^{th of}January 2000. Inspector Shambhu Subedi and ASI Ganesh Khatri including others raped and gang raped these two sisters for about two/ three months in side the police post. The local residence who live near the police post said they heard the crying sounds around 12/1.00 o’clock several nights. After long investigation by the locals, the disappeared sisters’s dead body were found by the initiatives of Maoist Party. They were arrested only for the cause to full fill the sexual interest of police officer. Later when police post was removed, the police authorities killed and pit them inside the office.

·At the January 2000, the police followed Amrita Oli-26 years residence of Chhani, Rukum from the Simrutu police station and gang raped her while passing through the jungle to her house. She went to the police post to provide food for her husband Hiralal Oli who was arrested on 2^nd of January in false charge. It is mentionable that she is a mother of three children. The group of police left her in unconscious condition by raping.

·On the 16^th of January, 18 policemen led by a police inspector arrived to the house of Mohbir Thapa in Muru of Rukum. A group of police including Inspector entered the house and baton the wife of Mohbir and threw her out. Son Tek Bahadur also beaten by the stick and fallen down, then 4 policemen including a Inspector gang raped daughter Hardika, 14 years and left in full of blood and unconscious. 

·Uma kumari Budhamagar and Thamkali Roka residence of Pachhabang-8, Rolpa were arrested together with their husbands while they were collecting firewood and cutting grass for cattle at the jungle of Chunbang, Tinchaur. After captured them the police first, tied their husbands with rope in to the tree, then Gang raped both until their motionless. Later police brought them near their houses and shot them together with their husbands.

·Shanta Pariyar-16 years, the residence of Kalagaun-1, Kot of Salyan district was gang raped in front of her parent, and other family members.

·Chandra Pariyar residence of same village raped by a policeman in her a room where she was called to open a box inthe name of house searching.

·Pima Budhathoki-26, six months pregnant women gang raped by three policemen at her house. She is a residence of Chande VDC-4, Sigane of Salyan district february 2000.

These above mentioned instances are only the some representatives of police crime. The government trained his force to rape, to pillage and to destroy the public properties where the poor people live. This kinds of victims are not only the supporters of Maoists but the majority of victims are the supporters of ruling party NC and other oppositions also. So it is a genuine crime launching by the state mainly in western financial and technological support. The another important collaboration partner to implement is the Indian Expansionism. How can we end this situation of state violece ? Thousands of years of feudals, village chiefs and usurers oppression created the poverty and backwardness of the nepalese. It is continue in new form. Now, when the people begine to oppose all these oppressions then the democratic state came in to its real character and exercised all these rapes, killings, and pillages in expence of development budget which prime-minister and other leaders of rulling party's announced in different occasion. There is no one have been taken under action for the crime, instead of punish the state promoted them. So there is no democracy and sympathy for the victims. When victims came to complain the state persecuted them, disappeared them and charged them as Maoists. So, the victims and eyewitnesses saw and clearly experienced if they oppose the crime then they are the Maoists. It means only the Maoists are the best alternative, in fact the People's guerrilla army attacked those administrative centres which established to make trouble for the masses. They saw how to establish the people's courts to punish the criminals openly in the masses. Because of all these reality those thousands of victims of rape joined in people's army and support them. In this time we can not say you don't have right to fights the state crime. Thousands whose hearts and soul filled by the sence of state crime they are joined in the struggle. Otherwise they will also be killed,be tortured or be raped.It is the time to be stand in support of those people or oppose them and support the rapists, killer and looters, your open choice ? but the history would not let you neutral or sleep in deadly silent, if you are really human being, isn't it ?
