Series of abduction of the Journalists

Nepal, The army and the police in Nepal is carrying out the series of abduction like as bandits in other places do for money. Within a week army and police abducted different human rights defenders and the journalists. It is increasing general practice of army and police after the so-called emergency to shoot the civilians, rape and gang rapes, arrests, tortures and disappearances in the name of Maoists. The ugly democracy of the criminals was uncovered when the journalists arrested before the declaration of emergency were charged under the emergency regulations. It was the plan of the criminals against the people which became clear that the government wanted to spread the white lies. For this task the independent and the critical newspapers and the journalists were the barrier. By imprisoning them in a fake , completely fake charges the government, particularly the brother killer king planed the mass massacre. It was just the beginning, by the attack on Janadisha, Janadesh and Dishabodh, not only assault on the revolutionary press but threatened other journalists and the press who were critical to the corrupt and criminal government. At the beginning the management of the four private medias’ owners agreed to the plan of the killers by compromising not to publish the factual news but the pushed white lies distributed by the police and the Army.

Since the emergency more than 100 journalists were arrested and several of them are imprisoned for their critical view towards the crime against the humanity committed by the state and power holders. Journalists not only the national but international also attacked by the army although the media imperialists are compromising to promote the crime of the state against the people.

On 3rd of march the civil cloth army personnel abducted the editor of Sanghu Weekly Gopal Budhathoki. Budhathoki is a advisor of the Kathmandu federation of Nepalese Journalists district committee and the former president. Sanghu has frequently reported the killings of civilians arbitrarily by the army and the corruption in purchasing the arms and helicopters etc. The government denied first four days where about of the Budhathki. But after the protest in Parliament by the opposition and the pressure from the rights groups and press the prime minister announced that the army had detained him for the published report which "encouraged and raised the morale of the Maoists". But the same prime minister denied the arrest of journalists by the army in the visit of Brossel, the in charge of the Asia-pacific of reporters San Frontiers.

The another hypocritic vomiting of the reactionary barbaric rule of the present system is the arrest of the legal advisor of the Weekly Janadesh and the national council member of the Forum for protection of Human Rights Advocate Ramnath Mainali. He was abducted from his house forcefully by the Seven plain clothed army men on March 14th.
It is notable that the police imprisoned the wife of Govinda Acharya, the editor of Weekly Janadesh Sabitra Acharya for the charge that she registered the Habeas corpus write into the Supreme court to release of her husband. The families and the lawyers are how persecuted by the state to stop the press freedom and establish the barbaric feudal military regime.

The latest victim of the  chain in this dirty game of the ruling elite are the well known journalists the editor of the monthly Mulyankan and the human rights defenders Dr. Mahesh Maskey and Pramod Kafle. They all three were abducted from the Tribhuvan International Airport just before boarding into the plane to fly to New Delhi. They were going to participate in a open discussion programme among the intellectuals, the human rights defenders and the journalists. The programme was organised by the Nepal concern group lead by the well known journalist and the intellectual figure Ananda Swarup Burma.

Shyam shrestha was one of the mediator in the last peace talks. According to the his colleagues and the family he was contacted frequently by the PM Deuba and his advisors and asked him to contact the Maoist to negotiate the dialogue. But the disappearance of Shrestha proved that the government wanted to block the dialogue permanently. There would nobody ready to mediate the government in future. Dr. Maskey is a vice-coordinator of the intellectuals’ solidarity group. And Promod Kafle, the President of GRINSO-Nepal, a national human rights organisation.

The only the possibility to stop the state crime is to provide the true information instead of the Goebbels Propaganda and white lies. The act of the government clearly shows the activities and the people’s war is in correct path. If the white army and the police are respectful and doing as per the law there could not need to attack the press. The government owned the biggest mass medias like Radio, TV and the Daily newspapers, if the security forces were doing they do not need be demoralised and discouraged. But the fact is they are selling false information and committed to crime against the people so that they need to stop the reality to be distributed and need to spread lies. That led them to commit series of crime and mistakes which would be their ultimate grave.
