![]() FNJ condemns journalists’ arrest BY OUR REPORTER Editor of Jwala weekly Chun Bahadur Gurung and his distribution in charge Danda Bahadur Gurung have been forwarded to the Central Jail by the Government. The two were arrested from the weekly’s office last Thursday. Similarly, editor of Janawhan weekly Bhim Prakash Sharma and executive editor of the same weekly were arrested by the police while they were walking on the street. The whole press sector has been shocked by these arrests of journalists. The Kathmandu district committee of the Federation of Nepalese Journalists in a statement has said that this naked aggression of the government on journalists is against the letter and spirit of the Constitution of the country. The Committee has also said that the arrest of the journalists is against Article 12, 13 of the Constitution, which guarantee freedom to write and publish reading materials.
