GS. Com. Some of the actions around the 5th anniversary are as below

1. Feb 19: One policeman was killed on the spot and five were injured, two of them seriously, when a police patrol team fall into an ambush laid by PGA in Lamidanda of Dolakha district, about 170 kilometers east of Kathmandu.

2. 9^th of February there were 7 demonstrations in participation hundreds of masses in each in Kathmandu valley. The mass meetings and rallies were protected by the armed guerrillas. Following this several areas were under curfew. Police and army deployed in heavy numbers in capital city.

3. Three police posts were bombed in different villages in Palpa district Monday 12^th of Feb. but there were no casualties.

4. The taxation system is imposed specially to the government officials, businessmen and local leaders in several places:(where people's united committee is formed).

5. The meeting of the heads of united people's government was held to take decision about the administration, development, resistance struggle and etc.

6. Maoist guerrillas with more than 500 peasants participation raided a landlords house and seized a gun and 20,000 kilograms of rice which they distributed to the peasants on 18^th Feb.

7. February 8: there was a police attack on a truck where a policeman, a truck driver and a squad member were killed and 3 other arrested.

8. On February5/ 5 policemen and a registrar of appellate court killed in ambush in Surkhet district where a judge and three other policemen injured. From the ambush the chief justice of supreme court survived. The western regional incharge Com. Diwakar said that there was no plan to attack the CJ. The government was responsible for this event for making travel without public notice. The chief Justice is responsible for establishment of illegal and undemocratic special court.

9. The first ever mass meeting with security was held in Rautahat district with participants of thousands of people where the secretary of platoon no 3 of R-B-P, central member of peasants association, students, workers and women also addressed. The party is planning to develop the base zones not only in western Nepal but in eastern Terai also.

10. No private aircraft company didn't applied a quotation to provide helicopter to the police.

11. Three duplicate maoists who theft the money and goods from the house of villagers were punished publicly and returned the things to the owner. The police and goons of some parliamentarian using this method to make unpopular maoist party and guerrilla. This kinds of punishment were regulated in other places also.

12. 5 pistols were seized from the local bad elements of Tanahun, the district of home minister.

13. a VDC chairman and NC local leader resigned from his posts when the guerrillas take action against him on a complaint over the corruption of a road and a bridge construction and spying of the supporters of people's war to police in Babiyachaur Village of Myagdi district.

14. dozens of Spies were punished during the first week of February in different parts of the country.

15. there is a news of patrolling by guerrilla platoon including squads in the forest of Jhapa district where they found some of forest Mafias and locals red hand while they were cutting and trafficking woods. The PGA warned them not to destroy the forest.

16. a policemen was annihilated in Gorkha district while he was in holidays but continuing the spying. He was responsible in the past for rape and killing of arrested workers of party.

17. A former chairman of Janakpur municipality and a local leader of NC was annihilated in Dhanusha district.

18. Police spy and a local leader of a reactionary student punished in Gorkha district headquarter. He used to travel with police in different operations.

19. A sabotage action by a bomb explosion was made in a electricity office of the district headquarter of Baglung. It is the third time explosion there in same office which next to the district police HQ.

20. On 12^th of February, there was fire exchange in a police outpost in Morang district, a police wounded is brought to the hospital in Kathmandu by air. It was ended a hour long. The had attacked in a celebration. There is broadly posturing, pamphleting and different mass gatherings and celebrations in eastern Terai including Morang the strong hold of ruling party.

21. The PGA also attacked some homes at a village in Baglung district in middle Nepal and decamped with six guns, as police said. Arms and ammunition were also seized.

22. A bomb exploded in a Agricultural bank in Sankhuwasabha district headquarter on Feb.

23. The sabotage of the alcoholic production and distribution centers carried out and banded in several places.

24.a police bit was set on fire in Morang district. The police left surrendered.

25. February 1 Women mass meeting in Shakla village of Jajarkot more than 2000 women participated in that awareness programme.

Participation from Nayakwada, Ramidanda, Rokayagoun, Lahan, Dandagoun on the Subject : "Only the alternative of women liberation is people's war".

26. the broad trails (horse road) were constructed in labour contribution which were in the plan of reactionary governments plan since the past years but the budget was finished without starting work shows the game of corruption.

27. among 30 VDCs of Jajarkot 27 are under united people's committee's administration and the rest also under process except the district hq.

28. Two policemen killed in an exchange of gunfire with guerrillas at Ghyampesal in Gorkha.

29. A policeman is killed in an ambush on a police patrol near Shulichaur village in Rolpa. Following the ambush police have shot two villagers in revenge of ambush in a nearest village.

30. 2 children were killed and 8 others injured including 5 minors in a bomb explosion ambushed by the police just another side of prison to protect themselves form the possible attack. The police tried to blame the maoist that they attacked the prison by bomb. But there is no cause to attack the prison where their own friends are imprisoned.

31. 10^th February: A dozen policemen and a Chinese national were injured in two separate ambushes laid by guerrillas Saturday ahead of the sixth anniversary of the people's war on Monday. Seven policemen, two civilians goons were injured in an ambush and shootout at Sitaini Khola in Sindhupalchowk district. Guerrillas attacked to seize a vehicle transporting explosives for the Indrawati Hydel project being built by Chinese under contract. The injured have been brought to the capital for treatment.

32. In an incident five other policemen were injured in an ambush at Luham in Salyan district Saturday, 10^th of Feb.

33. 15^th of Feb. The electricity authority office was attacked with a time bomb in Kailali district of western terai.

34. PGA unit exploded a bomb for a warning in a area police station of Bahrabise bazaar of Sindhupalchok district.

35. 14^th, a gun was seized from a home of a local tyrant at Itahari municipality of Sunsari district in eastern terai.

36. there was a fire exchange between police and guerrillas at Suryapur of Bardia district.

37. PGA are regularly seizing the cameras and other documents while the administration forcing the people to make identity cards for election purposes. The citizens were not able to receive the bureaucratic works without this cards. The cameras and documents are seized from the Sindhuli, Kaski, Morang, Sunsari, Chitwan etc. even the police is including the team.

38. guerrilla squads attacked the Panchami police station in Banjho VDC of Ilam district. There was no casualties because of police surrendered at first when guerrillas asked. The weapons and materials thereof were seized and provided a political class to the police. The police promised not to do any of anti people acts and would left their job in January.

39. The district committee of CPN (Maoist) organised a mass gathering in north eastern Chitwan and announced a guerrilla zones for 8 VDC of area. Chitwan is a very good connection point of the transportation and lies between Narayangadh and Kathmandu.
