![]() Make success the Nepal
Shut-down on 16th and 17th of November Mangsir 1&2 Nepal Banda called by Nine left parties and supported by CPN (Maoist) to breakdown the decision of price petroleum hike. Kathmandu/As
in international market the price of petroleum price is increased the price in
Nepal also increased. Just see this point it looks justify. But the fact is
that the government of Nepal increased the price by giving the cause that the
leakage of the petrolium from the open board to India. And another strange fact
is that when the price in International market fall down the "Nepal oil
corporation" as the government is owner never decreased the price. Now the
price in International market increase in as average of 50 percent but the
government of Nepal increased by 100% like the most neediest kerosene and
diesel by almost 70 percent but the petrol which is used by only limited rich
people increased by 17 percent while in international market it is increased by
68%. It clearly shows that the government is serving the only a fistful rich
people from the cost of the 90 percent of the masses. Now the prices in market
is increasing in every sector except vs of agriculture. The 90% of the people
are suffering from the lack of power to fulfil their daily need in normal life.
By raising of this issue while struggling the fascist Girija government 9
leftist parties have organising different protest programme. But the government
is not only neglected but suppressing the peaceful protests. The police
attacked in different protest where hundreds of people have been injured. In
one side the government staged a artless and naked drama to create the
conducive environment for the dialogue with the struggling party CPN (Maoist)
last week. The
dialogue with the government to fixed the reasonable price of the petroleum is
failed which taken place between the leaders of the nine left parties and the
government. The government tried to bargaining with the nine left instead of
solving the problem. The ministers proposed at first to decrease one Rupees,
then 2 Rupees and the last Rs.22/Ltr.in kerosene from 26 what they decided
earlier. Still the nine left parties are asking to form a commission to
investigate a corruption and interference in the Oil Corporation and until then
make Rs.15. but the government tried to bargain like a Indian Marwaries which
forced the nine left parties to continue the 2Days NEPAL SHUT-DOWN (General
strike) programme to pressurise the government to decrease the illegal and
corruption oriented price hiking. The Nepal
shut-down programme on November 16 and 17 called by the nine left parties is
supported by the main opposition party in parliament CPN(UML) and the country's
responsible and alternative force and
the party CPN (Maoist) also supporting the general strike. It is the first time
the UML asked their cadres to support actively for the struggle. Even the
government is criticising from inside the NC ruling party. The organisers are
calling torch rally all over the country at the afternoon of the 15th
of November to make success the Nepal Shut-down of both days. If the government
tried to intervene the protest they will resist powerfully. Now the necessity
is increasing to support the struggle of Nepalese people from Nepal and abroad.
