The Resistance Actions: Attack Residence of Home Minister

The centre of the Nepalese politics, Maoist People’s war which was initiated 58 months ago is becoming the main issue not only for government but for the internal power struggle of ruling party and other parliamentary parties. He also accused that the government is not willing for dialogue but adopted the way of repression by mobilising the armed forces, planning to form a paramilitary force and increasing the budget for police, army and weaponry in expense of development and the social service. As the HROs demanded to make suitable environment by publicising the disappeared more than 200 leaders and citizens, release the political prisoners who are imprisoned in forged charges and the independent investigation of killings including Khara where 15 citizens who were the member of ruling party, Nepali congress and punish those who would find responsible.

Since the Wednesday, 23^rd of August the People's guerrilla army launched the resistance actions against the state terror. * There is a news from Sindhuli, the eastern part of Nepal, hundreds of guerrillas attacked a police striking post in Jarayotar where two policemen and a guerrilla member have been killed. The sources said the guerrillas captured weapons thereof but the amount is not known. About 5 hundred guerrillas and public participated in attack.

* On the sequence of resistance programme, a sub inspector of police died on the spot and the guerrillas captured 7 three nut three rifles, a shotgun, 2 pistols and thousands of ammunitions form the Dhauladi village of Nawalparasi district. According to the police about 2/3 hundred guerrillas were came to attack. Sources and the police said they were released after surrendered with respect to go home.

Bomb explosions

• A bomb was exploded at the residence of home minister in Jawalakhel of Kathmandu. The bomb damaged the shelter of guard and the wall and windows of the residence.
• The another bomb exploded at the Mahendra police club, the heart of the capital and damaged a wall and windows. Similarly there were several banners forwarding slogans for the third stage of construction of base areas, pamphlet and more than 10 torch rallies in different part of the capital city.
• The people's guerrillas exploded in Baba distillery (a alcohol industry and a inn) near Birta police post in Rautahat district where about half million Rs. of Damage reported. The explosion was for warning the owner Rambriksa Kalawar who works as a police informer and local usurer, making trouble for the locals.

• The food mill owned by Sureshchandra Agrawal, an Indian comprador, sabotaged by a bomb explosion at Ramnagar of Chitwan district.
• There were hundreds of explosions, torch rallies reported from the western and mid-western Nepal.
