Court and BAR attacked again by the police

By Janak

Nepal/ 14th of December, Nepal police intervened in Nepal Bar Association com appelat court, broke the lock and kidnapped 2 civilians whom the court released from illegal custody. In the charge of Maoist Indra Prasad Dhungel (50 years) residence of Kamalamai municipality 18 and Yuddhasingh Kunbar(42 years) residence of Mahadevsthan-4, Sindhuli district were arrested 2 and half years ago and imprisoned by the order of police chief CDO. They were released after several change of prison on November 4 from Mahottari and again imprisoned ilegally in Saptari district.

On 13th of December they released from the illegal imprisonment made by the police. The order was issued from the joint bench of judge Tahir Ali Ansari and judge Samanta singh Bogati and discussed by several advocates in fevour of prisoners. After their release the police intervened in the court and tried to arrest but the Bar association ( organisation of Lawyers) took them under protection and protested police attempt. They were kept at bar building, but at night police came inside court and broke down the lock of the Bar and kidnapped them. Now it is unknown where about of them. It is well known that Nepal police continuosly neglected the court and law. Nepal police is known as an expert to violate the constitution, law and court order. The citizens who have been arrested are still disappeared. Prof. Suresh Alemagar and Engineer Pawanman also arrested after forth time order for their release and disappeared and made public after broad pressure two month later. There is no shame for the government to condemn the court and even not respect their own constitution for formality also. This event occurred after the killing of a woman and injured of four participants of armless and peaceful mass meetings in Chitwan district on the eve of International human rights day.

While celebrating the International human rights 52nd day the democratic and civil society of Nepal and abroad condemned the barbaric and Hitlery fascism of Nepali congress Girija government. The police of Nepal not only discriminated its own law but government used as toilet paper for the international agreements and conventions which the Nepal government is a signatory.

The human rights organisations working in Nepal criticised the unconstitutional acts of government, like killings, tortures, rapes, gang raped, pillage, and injustice including the institutionalised corruption under direction of prime minister etc.

The senior Judge of Supreme court of Nepal and one of the constitution draft person Laxman Prasad Aryal  said at the ceremony to celebrate IHR day " the court can not do any thing where the protector of law is the main violator and discriminator of the law." The first time officially he condemned the continuation of the process of arrest and disappearances of prisoners released by the courts. Every body in the country shocked every day by the degrading and shameless acts of the police under direct command of politicians and promotion of criminals.

There was a district shut down programme succeed against the killing and intervention in women's meeting called by all party meeting except Ruling Nepal congress on 12th of December. There is different protest programme are going on in resistance. The All Nepal Women Association (Revolutionary) announced its first martyr for Gauri Sapkota in Chitwan district and promised to take revenge from the battlefield in a press meeting and later in cremation ceremony where thousands of people participated to paid tribute.
