Police intervention in Judiciary

Butwal/ 25 June/ The police intervened in the Appelet court in Butwal and arrested Tara Bhusal. He was released by the special bench of Appellate court of Butwal. When court orderedto release immediately inside the court, then the police surrounded the court's compound. But the Butwal Bar Association and the authorities of the court keep him in their protection from the illegal arrest again. Before this also Nawalparasi, Parvat, Syangja and Palpa district courts had ordered to release him from the illegal imprisonment but the police arrested him and disappeared and charged fake cases in another districts. Every time police condemned the court and again arrested him. This kinds of victims of police crimes are facing thousands of citizens in Nepal.

The event

The Butwal Bar association and the staffs of the court keep Tara Bhusal under their protection inside the court. But the 12 police in civil uniform with showing pistol came in side the court and tried to arrest Tara. The police team was led by Inspector Iswar Karki, ASI Rajan shreshtha and Sitaram Pant. But again at 7.00 o'clock Police gang on command of Iswar Karki intervened the Appellate court, Butwal and arrested Tara Bhusal who were released by the court same afternoon from the room of Registrar of the court. Police not only arrested him but manhandled the lawyers, staffs, Bar executives and journalists. In this incident four journalists injured and camera of them captured which returned later. The police showed pistols and threatened to shot them inside the court room. Journalists injured are Karna Bahadur K.C. the editor of Lumbibi Daily, Yuvaraj Pandey reporter of Janadesh, journalists Bharat KC and Bishnu Ghimire by the police who were collecting news. When a judge came to protest the police Inspector responded that the home secretary ordered the Chief district officer and The police head quarter ordered the Deputy superintendent of police to arrest him in any case even court released or not. After the naked intervention over legitimate, Bar and the fourth organ and the base of democracy press, the police pushed Tara Bhusal in a Indian number plate private Car U.P.78 C2329 and drove toward district police office. When the family and relatives asked the district police office they replied we don't no, you asked IGP and Home Minister. This is a great challenge for the democratic system. Now, he is disappearing.

The Judges byecut the court works

The meeting of the Judges of the appellate court of Butwal bye cut the work for one day on 26th of June and demanded to punish the responsible authorities to intervened in the court. And decided the need of court's own security force from the police intervention. AJudge said to the press they can not relied on the police because of repeats of illegal activities.

The Butwal appellate court's 17 lawyers meeting wrote a letter to the supreme court and demanded to publicize with investigative report over the illegal and terrorist activities of state police. Butwal Bar byecut two days courts session.

Similarly the Bar Nawalparasi district also stopped all the works in courts on 28th June to protest the police terrorism.
 

Likewise, the Rupendehi Bar also byecut the court session for two days on 26 and 27 of June with issuing the press statement condemning the police crime. Dr. D.B. Singh, co-ordinator of people’s forum, Social Awareness and Development Forum, a human right organization, Nepalgunj appellate court Bar unit issued press statement condemning the police and government and demand to punish the police authorities immediately.

Nembang, MP of Main opposition party, Lilamani Pokhrel, MP United peoples front, Pari Thapa, MP National peoples front condemned and demanded to investigate independently to punish the home administration's naked dance. There are a report of Nine left parties also condemned jointly and asked to respect minimum norms of multi party democratic rights guaranteed by the constitution.

This kinds of police intervention in to the Judiciary shows the seriousness of the violations of human rights and the democracy.
